Leadership Team

Mr. Pushkar Deodhar

Pushkar, a CA by education spearheads the finance, accounts and taxation function at ElectroMech. Responsible for financial performance reporting, governance and legal aspects, Pushkar collaborates with the respective business heads to drive business strategy and planning. A fitness enthusiast, Pushkar is also a full marathoner and encourages youngsters to take up running to improve mental agility.

Mr. Rohan Warty

Rohan spearheads our international operations as the CEO of ElectroMech FZE. He started his career with ElectroMech as Graduate Engineer Trainee and successfully delivered a consistent growth in the company’s order bookings. A qualified Mechanical Engineer, he has also attended executive management programme of premier institute in India. His vast experience of the crane industry, exposure to capital goods sector and focused efforts in Indonesia have been instrumental in ElectroMech making inroads in the South East Asian market. Rohan is also a passionate runner and has many international marathons to his credit.

1979

Mr Vinayak Mehendale and a group of technocrats form ElectroMech Engineers out of passion to provide customers with reliable, durable and well-engineered material handling solutions

1993

Partners decide to go their independent ways and Mr Vinayak Mehendale becomes the sole owner of ElectroMech Engineers and shifts the business to an 800 sqm facility in Pimpri near Pune, India

1994

ElectroMech doubles capacity to 1600 sqm to cater to the growing demand

1996

ElectroMech Material Handling Systems (I) Pvt Ltd is incorporated, beginning the transformation from a small crane manufacturing workshop into a full-fledged multi-national industrial cranes company

1997

Additional land admeasuring 10,000 sqm is purchased in Pirangut near Pune, India

2000

Tushar Mehendale took over as MD of the company at the demise of founder Mr Vinayak Mehendale

2001

ElectroMech takes off with export orders from from UAE and Oman ElectroMech awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by Bureau Veritas

2002

ElectroMech opens its first overseas branch office in Jebel Ali, Dubai ElectroMech secures its first large order for tunnel mucking systems (8 nos.) used for construction of tunnels at Koyna Hydroelectric Power Project in India

2003

ElectroMech diversifies into manufacturing of chassis for mobile rock crushing plants for Sandvik

2004

ElectroMech further expands manufacturing capacity with a new factory spread over 1600 sqm at Pirangut, Pune

2005

ElectroMech enters into a strategic partnership with Abus Crane Systems of Germany for supplying high end standardized cranes to the Indian market Engineering Exports Promotion Council awards ElectroMech with an "Export Excellence Award" in the category of EOT & Gantry Cranes ElectroMech starts spreading sales network across India, establishes first branch offices in Chennai and New Delhi

2006

ElectroMech further expands manufacturing capacity to cater to the growing demand for cranes with total factory area close to 5600 sqm

2007

With continuing demand for cranes, ElectroMech acquires additional 24,000 sqm land adjacent to the existing factory to enable further expansion

2008

ElectroMech expands manufacturing capacity further with total factory area of 11,600 sqm and capacity of 700+ cranes per year Annual sales turnover crosses USD 25 million SAP ERP system to streamline processes and march toward an organization of global repute To cater to its expansion plans across India, ElectroMech procures 10,000 sqm industrial land near Chennai

2009

ElectroMech FZE, wholly owned subsidiary incorporated in Jebel Ali, Dubai to handle the export markets of the Middle East, CIS and Africa Cranedge (India) Pvt Ltd, wholly owned subsidiary incorporated to focus exclusively on the after- sales service requirements of the industry ElectroMech enters strategic partnership with Stahl Crane Systems, Germany for explosion proof products suitable for oil & gas and chemical processing industry ElectroMech enters into a strategic partnership with Cargotec of Finland to diversify into the manufacturing of deck cranes and on-board hatch cover handling equipment for marine industry ElectroMech purchases additional adjoining land around existing factory and builds a new factory and office block taking the total factory area of 20,000 sqm at Pirangut and land area of 72,000 sqm

2010

ElectroMech FZE bags large order from Impregilo S.p.A., Italy for tunnelling projects in Abu Dhabi ElectroMech receives plant certification for fabrication, from Germanischer Lioyd, Germany ElectroMech delivers the very first MacPiler hatch cover handling crane to Rongcheng shipyard, China through Cargotec. ElectroMech upgrades its QMS system and gets accredited as per ISO 9001:2008 standards by Bureau Veritas Cranedge, the service arm provides prompt service and gains trust of two prestigious clients like Caterpillar India and Pipavav Shipyard Ltd. ElectroMech enters into a strategic partnership with Shuttlelift of USA for supplying high end industrial rubber tire gantry cranes to the Indian market

2011

ElectroMech bags premium order from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited for multiple EOT cranes Successful development of Single Failure Proof Crane for 700MW atomic power plant at Kakrapara in India Marquee PE investor Motilal Oswal invests in the ElectroMech growth story

2012

ElectroMech inks JV with Zoomlion Heavy Industries of China, world's largest manufacturer of tower cranes to cater to the growing Indian infrastructure sector ElectroMech launches its "torqk" range of products for the SME sector Launch of very first tower crane model TC5010-4 in Zoomlion ElectroMech India to cater the Indian construction sector ElectroMech proudly features on the cover page of a prestigious international magazine "Hoist" from UK, as a leading Asian player in the crane market "Excellence in Innovation" award in SME category conferred by the prestigious Manufacturing Today for specialised tunnel mucking system

2013

ElectroMech FZE receives milestone order from Air Liquide group of France for multiple EOT cranes for a massive manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE Zoomlion ElectroMech delivers flat top tower cranes to help build one of India’s largest cooling towers for 1320 MW coal-based thermal power project at Nellore ElectroMech does it again, by achieving Manufacturing Today’s “Excellence in Innovation” award in SME category for indigenously developed a single failure proof crane for NPCL, India Cranedge gets certified as a member of the prestigious Lifting Equipment Engineers Association – LEEA of UK, representative body of the lifting industry worldwide
